Where Casa ReSol Sits
High in the rainforest above Uvita, genuinely buried in the jungle — one guest called it “equivalent to staying in the national park” — with the Pacific framed below and the beaches and town a drive down the hill.
ReSol is for guests who want to be in nature, not just near it: the home sits deep in mature rainforest above Uvita, with wildlife at the door and an ocean view from every room. The beaches, Marino Ballena, and Uvita's shops and restaurants are a drive down. For the region itself, see Where You Are: Costa Ballena.
Arrival & Access (the 4x4)
Casa ReSol sits about fifteen minutes up a jungle road and needs a genuine 4x4 — the price of its seclusion, and, guests agree, well worth it.
The road up is the trade-off for being this immersed in the forest; a real four-wheel-drive vehicle is required, or a driver who knows the way. Most guests fly into San José (SJO) and drive about three and a half hours south, or take the short flight to Quepos and continue by road; the team arranges 4x4 rentals and shuttles, and the on-site caretaker, Jordan, meets you for check-in. The full picture is in Roads, Rental Cars & Transportation and Getting Here.
“Beautiful house exactly as described. Jordan the caretaker was very kind and helpful with check-in. About fifteen minutes up — and worth every minute.”Guest review · 4.96/5
The Home & Its Design
An elegant, sophisticated home where the architecture frames the rainforest and the sea — magazine-worthy views from each of the four bedrooms, and a calm, refined interior.
ReSol's own description promises “magazine-worthy views from each bedroom,” and the reviews bear it out: a beautifully designed home that lives up to its pictures, with an attentive local team and the kind of finish that earns near-perfect ratings stay after stay. It's polished without being showy — a place to settle in and slow down.
The View & the Pool
An infinity pool on the edge of the jungle, with the ocean beyond — and a view that follows you from room to room.
The infinity pool is the heart of the home, framed by rainforest with the Pacific in the distance; guests describe long days by the water watching wildlife and waiting for the sunset. As with any infinity pool on a hillside, supervise children closely around the edge (more in Families & Multi-Generational Travel).
A Closer Look
A few moments from around Casa ReSol — the pool and the view, the rainforest, the living spaces. (Photos to come.)
Bedrooms & Sleeping Arrangements
Four bedrooms sleeping nine, each with its own ocean view — comfortable, well-appointed, and quiet, with the rainforest right outside.
Every bedroom looks out to the ocean and jungle, and guests single out the comfortable beds and the generous space. It suits a family, two or three couples, or a small group of friends. Tell the concierge how your party splits and they'll set it up before arrival.
Wildlife & Night Skies
This is one of the most nature-immersed homes in the collection — abundant wildlife by day, and, far from any town light, mesmerizing night skies.
Guests describe the wildlife as a constant and the stargazing as unforgettable: with the home buried in the rainforest and no light pollution, the night sky is part of the experience. Birds, monkeys, and the sounds of the forest fill the days. More in Wildlife & Living in Nature.
Food, Chef & Service
An on-site caretaker and the concierge team make a remote home feel effortless — private chefs, massages, groceries, and tours, all arranged for you.
The caretaker Jordan and the wider team handle check-in and anything you need during the stay; private chefs, in-villa massages, grocery pre-stocking, and excursions are all part of the service. The markets, fish vendors, and Uvita restaurants are covered in Food, Groceries, Chefs & Eating Well.
What to Understand Before You Book
Two honest notes, so the home is exactly what you expect.
First, the 4x4 road is real — about fifteen minutes up a jungle road — so plan a proper four-wheel-drive or a driver, and arrive in daylight the first time. Second, this is a deeply immersed rainforest home: the seclusion and the wildlife are the whole point, and nothing is within walking distance. Neither surprises a guest who's read it here.
Who Casa ReSol Suits (and Who May Prefer Another)
It suits couples and families who want a refined, nature-immersed home — for a romantic getaway, a quiet family week, or anyone who wants the jungle, the wildlife, and the stars.
If you want magazine-worthy views, an infinity pool, deep seclusion, and an on-site team that makes it easy, ReSol is a standout — guests repeatedly call it perfect for a romantic or restorative escape. You may prefer a different home if you need easy paved access with no 4x4, want to walk to the beach, or need a larger or events-friendly property — the team can suggest homes like Casa Colibri instead.
“I have no words to describe how amazing our stay was. It had the best view. We can't wait to be back.”
